WILL COUNTY BOARD: KEVIN “KOLLINS” HEDEMARK - DISTRICT 9

BIO:

I've resided in Romeoville for the past 22 years with my wife and 3 daughters. Until recently, I hosted radio shows on 1340-WJOL and Star 96.7. Currently I'm an audio book narrator with more than 300 titles to my credit.

Why are you running for office?

I believe my involvement with the community has provided me an insight into the needs and concerns of many people, not only in District 9 but all of Will County.

What do you see as the role of Young People in our communities and our Party?

It is so important that our youth get involved in all aspects of life. Every generation provides a new look at where our society is headed and helps craft that journey.

If elected to office, what will you do to elevate the voices and concerns of Young People?

I have 3 daughters ages 17, 15 and 13, thus I am very concerned about where society is heading and making sure it is a place full of opportunity for the future. It is extremely important to have young people at the table, whether is is on my campaign staff or advising on matters that will affect Will County in the future.

Why are you proud to be a member of the Democratic Party?

I strongly believe that the Democratic Party cares about ALL people and tries to craft policy that betters society for everyone.
